voting for proposition 2

In California there are 12 propositions coming up to be voted on. One of them that will affect California is proposition 2. Beginning January 1, 2015, this measure prohibits with certain exceptions the confinement on a farm of pregnant pigs, calves raised for veal, and egg-laying hens in a manner that does not allow them to turn around freely, lie down, stand up, and fully extend their limbs. Under the measure, any person who violates this law would be guilty of a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of up to $1,000 and/or imprisonment in county jail for up to six months. This shows that people should say yes to proposition 2 because, it will stop animal cruelty and that it gives farmers 7 years to fix their farm for this proposition. I say that you should vote yes on prop 2 because it will make the owners treat their farm animals better and they won't be cooped up for the rest of their life.

In California Animal Agriculture is a major industry. Over 40 million animals are raised for commercial purposes on California farms and ranches. California’s leading livestock commodities are milk and other dairy products, cattle, and chickens. In recent years, there has been a growing public awareness about farm animal production methods, and how these practices affect the treatment of the animals. State law prohibits cruelty to animals. Under state law, for example, any person who keeps an animal confined in an enclosed area is required to provide it with an adequate exercise area, and permit access to adequate shelter, food, and water. Other laws specifically related to farm animals generally focus on the humane transportation and slaughter of these animals. Depending upon the specific violation, an individual could be found guilty of a misdemeanor or felony punishable by a fine, imprisonment, or both. I am against animal cruelty and a lot of other people in the world are also. this is why they should vote yes on Proposition 2 because it has to do with animal cruelty.

Kit Kat bars vs Twix

People have been deciding which candy bar is the best so a lot of people have been wondering which wafer candy bar is better Twix or Kit Kat bars. Personally I like Twix better then Kit Kats because its a wafer dipped in caramel and milk chocolate and makes your mouth savor the taste but when you buy one you get two six inch bars of goodness. On the other side Kit Kat bars have a double layer of chocolate in their candy and give you four bars of chocolate flavor goodness. So think which side are you on the Twix side or the Kit Kat side.

i think Twix is the better chocolate bar of the two. it has more flavor to it and you can enjoy it longer then a Kit Kat bar. Kit Kat bars are just chocolate and wafers but twix it has caramel so it has more flavor. Even if it only has two pieces i would still get it over Kit Kats with their four pieces.

My name is Alex Cuneo and I am a student at Carmel High School. I play two sports which are wrestling and lacrosse varsity. i like playing sports with my brothers and my friends. when i get my first car i want to get the new 2010 Camaro from general motors. some of my hobbies i like to do is golfing and collecting classic cars models. my favorite classic car model that i have collected is the 1969 SS Camaro. i golf with a couple of my friends or with whoever i meet on the golf course. its always fun going golfing with different people.

unlike a lot of people i have gone out of the country to europe in which i visited France, Itlay, Switserland and Germany. i have also gone to New Zeland which has some of the best golf courses in the world. when i was twelve me and my dad found two dead deers on our property. so my dad went up to the house to grab his rifle and to call animal control. i was on the driveway when he went inside and i saw the mountain lion in the vineyard. i ran and told my dad where it was and we went up on the deck. my dad had to wait for 15 minutes until animal control came. he had permission to shoot the lion if it attacked us. my dad never shot at it but animal control came and shot darts at the lion and it soon fell asleep. then they took the lion away. i will never forget the look of how the lion was when he was cornered.
